We shall see... I had called last week to ask a technical question as the factory solenoid relocate kit seemed to have been made for a different winch (probably prior to the TALON series coming out) and the color coded wire ends were different than what was on my winch. I just wanted to verify that I wasn't a dumbass. I was told that one of the techs was out sick and the other was busy and would call me back. Still have not gotten a call back- but I figured it out on my own- so not a huge deal but still disappointing. On Monday I called to see what they would do about the broken synthetic line and I was told that they do not warranty synthetic line whatsoever-BUT- that If I sent him some pictures of the damaged line and my address he would see if they had some trade show/ floor model synthetic line they could send me...so I have my fingers crossed as 80' of 3/8" AmSteel-Blue synthetic line isn't cheap!

How far was the break from the end? Did you underwind or overwind your line?

I know it sounds patronizing, but you're sure it wasn't wrapped or passed through a bumper support or something?

If you were setup with the line overwinding (leading off the top of the drum), rather than underwinding (leading from bottom of drum), that would most definitely lead to chafing on the radiator/bumper core support..

I had about 25' of line out. I was careful to spool it so it was coming off the underside of the drum and then through the hawse fairlead. I thoroughly checked upon install for any sharp areas, I even modified the core support bracket to have more clearance. I sanded the drum for peace of mind...etc...

Did you make sure that this can't happen? I had to grind mine back on my apex bumper:

How far from the sling hook is the tear? Is it just that sleeve that was damaged or the rope itself?

I have the other version of it with the little receiver that plugs into the top of the warn contactor remote plug:

    http://www.amazon.com/Warn-90287-Wi...14199706&sr=8-1&keywords=warn+wireless+remote

I use it but it definitely doesn't have 50ft. of range. I get about 10 feet and it starts skipping and bumping the winch like it's losing signal. It works ok from inside the cab but that's about it... I think the receiver is better suited to being mounted right on the front of the truck rather than in the engine bay where I relocated my contactor.

    DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

I just received this today and it does not work for the 5 wire system. It also does not come with the longer, wrapped, cord that is pictured. Only the short 6" cord.

Oh, ya I'm sure the warn wireless remotes are great. I would love to get one eventually. At first I thought I had found one of those Amazon steals but apparently the image was wrong. He had pictured the short harness and the long harness but it only came with the short harness. (The long harness does have the right connection)

Just picked up a warn m8000, looks like I'm missing the relays and haven't been successful finding a wiring diagram for it. Could anyone point me in a good direction to parts and diagrams? Thanks!

About 20~ feet from the eye...cut the sleeve and line. Superwinch, against company policy, immediately sent me out a replacement line... They sent me 80' of Marlow dynaline instead of the stock AmSteel blue for some reason, not that I am complaining...

Rebuilding my 9500ti and wanted to know thoughts on putting a small bead of silicone gasket on the cases instead of the plastic/rubber Warn gasket. Water got in on the motor side and did a good number to the inside of the motor. Figure a liquid gasket may make a more water tight seal
