    I wanna cut the cord and get rid of direct TV. I need a good antenna to get some local over the air channels. What are you guys using?

    Get a cheap one first you should be close enough to get plenty of stations. If your TV was made after May of 07 it has a digital tuner.

    Yeah I got a new Samsung. Only reason I ask is because I bought a cheap one off Amazon and it didn't find shit for channels. Now I coulda been to blame. I didn't mount it on the roof like I wanted to.

    Digital TV is all or nothing, off the air you need to be pointed in the right direction it's not like old analog signals that were just poor quality until you were pointed the right way. There are plenty of on line programs that will tell you where the stations are by your zip or address tvfool.com is one.
