A local shop quoted me 780 for 4 BFG A/T 265/75/16's mounted balanced and out the door. Is tgis a good price? Would you recommend these tires? These are not the new KO2's but they are brand new. Guess trying to get those gone for the new KO2's

That is a smoking deal on those. I paid $900 for a set mounted and balanced with road hazard warranty on my previous '14 PreRunner in the same size as an example. This was at Americas tire too.

Did you like those tires, handle good in all weather conditions? Never owned them before and thought they would be a great deal but dunno for sure if i will like them or not.

I have run the BFG, AT KO's on a Tacoma PreRunner, '05 Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4, '08 Nissan Frontier Crew 4x4, and thought they were pretty much outstanding or exceeded my expectations on each of those vehicles.

I am personally holding out for KO2's, and in no rush, as I barely have 2800 miles on my new TRD-Off road, so hoping to get some miles out of the stock tires anyway.

Yea, i have the stockers as well, and i dont really offroad any or anything, so the newer KO2 isnt much more than the regular KO is to me. These tires are leftovers and thats the reason for the good deal. Plus they are a size bigger which i like, seems its kind of equivalant to a 31.10.50. My other thing to is they will be going on my trd aluminum wheels, instead of my steelies, which i have been wanting to get on anyways.

KO2 is a new tire and my Hankook ATm's don't impress in our wet coastal snow

I ran 265/70/17 AT's on my Tundra for years...when they last died they wanted almost $1200 to replace them. Ended up getting the new then) BFG Rugged Terrain (not to be confused with the BFG Rugged Trail Crap that came on the truck). I actually like them better than the AT's (they are P rated instead of 6 ply)...they ride smoother, work much better in the snow though they are a bit softer sidewall so not as stiff on the road. For mainly road driving I will stick with them...for lots of rocks and such the AT's have a better sidewall, though I have yet to have issues with the new tires after almost 2 years.

Weird, my family has a cabin in Tahoe that gets some serious snow. I only have experience with them on an '05 Ram 2500 diesel 4x4, and later on an '08 Frontier 4x4. With both cases I have driven both of those vehicles in near whiteout, blizzard type conditions and the KO's were nothing short of amazing.

I once drove the Dodge over the summit here near Tahoe/ Truckee in fresh, un-plowed powered in 2wd just to see if I could with the KO's and 4WD was not needed unless I was starting out on a steep incline.

One year with my Frontier, on KO's we got snowed in pretty good at our Cabin. Our neighbor somehow got his Land Rover Discovery stuck near the enterance to his place. I told him I could pull him out with my Frontier if he wanted. He insisted if I attempted to get to where he slid, I would get stuck as well, since that's where his Discovery lost traction and fell off the road.

I actually drove all the way around him, and pulled him out no sweat in 4-Lo with the Frontier on BFG AT, KO 's. Say what you will about how old school they look, or how much they suck. But I absolutely swear by them.

I know Duratracs are all the rage right now, but I've never been a fan of anything Goodyear. Also I've never met a soul who has got more than 25-30k miles out of a set. I will agree with you that Duratracs are probably the best snow tires for trucks, but the BFG-KO's arn't that far behind, if not almost equal. Most people see 50-60k+ miles out of them as well, so they will likely last twice as long as a set of Duratracs.

I have duratracs on my company van, and they do pretty good, but i noticed that they had ALOT of bodyroll to them when i first got them, they actually had enough to where i thought there was something wrong with the van and took it back and had them checked. Now they do extremely well is weather conditions but i dont like that bodyroll they have. Granted they were just on the back to tires on that van, but it was borderline scary until it got about 5,000 miles on them.

But i have never had the bfg all terrains. I recently bought bfg long trails for my wifes ride and they are great, ride smooth and feel great, so i know bfg makes a good tire.

Good deal but I am not a fan of the tires. I actually sold mine with 10k miles on them and bought Hankook Dynapro atm. I much prefer the ride and handling of the Hankooks. As a plus they are also like 5lbs lighter per tire and my gas mileage went back up about 1mpg.
