My truck was starting to shake a little so I got under it and checked the carrier bearing, and sure enough it was bad. So I ordered a new carrier bearing and new u-joints. When I took the drive shaft out I noticed that a chunk of metal had fallen onto the driveway. It came from the yoke on the front part of the drive shaft. Of course my warranty has just expired by like 2000 miles so the dealer says they can't do anything for me. They gave me the number for corporate and I called them. The lady pretty much said that I would have to buy a new drive shaft. So I have looked around and finally found a yoke through Spicer for $50. I also noticed a lot of rust on the frame and all of the bolts, straps and brackets under the truck. We have very mild winters here in Kentucky and when there is salt on the roads the first thing I do is wash my truck. I was wondering if anyone else is noticing the rust issue? If so please call 1-800-331-4331 and complain. The frames should not be rusting this bad this quick.
