    Hello, All

As you can tell, I am from Phoenix, born and raised. I'm new to this forum but not new to my Tacoma. Bought this truck about 5 years ago with 90,000 miles on it. It currently has 177,000. When I purchased this truck I was a single man without any children. I had every intention of turning this into into an off-road beast. Now, I did have some fun with it, especially during the Arizona monsoons, but it never materialized into anything more than a daily driver that occasionally hit a dirt road or two. Blame it on college, work, and all.

Fast forward a few years and now I've got a new job, wife, and daughter. I don't need to tell you that a two door Taco is not exactly family-friendly. Nor was my wife's Beetle. Both bought back when we were single, of course. Luckily my job provided me with a Silverado crew cab that is better suited for hauling around the family, groceries, and such. I also got very involved in road biking. Needless to say, the Tacoma was no longer my primary mode of transportation.

Now, the thought did cross my mind that we should sell the Bug and the Tacoma and purchase a family vehicle for the lady. I mean we are definitely getting rid of the Bug. I hate that piece of sh*t. It's more trouble than it's worth. But something about getting rid of the Taco seemed to trouble me. That thing has been nothing but good to me. It's built like a beast, the engine is reliable, and it's still fun to drive - when I get the chance. However, it has suffered from some neglect. The paint is a little faded. Probably nothing a good clay bar and polish couldn't fix. The rear bumper has a nice dent in it. It looks as though somebody keyed the rear quarter panel, which I attribute to being a Cowboys fan in Arizona (drunk Cardinals fans, is there anything worse?). And the interior could use a little TLC.

Which brings me to here. I hope to reignite the love affair I had with it half a decade ago. With help from you guys (and gals) I think that this thing can get another 177,000 miles and look even better than it did before. I know this was a little long-winded but I thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and my Taco.

    Here are some pics :D

    Thanks,
    Kenny
