My neighbor is the service manager at our local toyota dealership.

Talked to him, Gonna take it in tomorrow and he's gonna throw on a set of stock springs just to keep me rolling till toyota figures out the "remedy" for the recall.

So when you walk into the dealership and tell them you need your recalls on your truck done, will they charge you anything at all for this fix....just wondering if I take it in for the frame coating and the spring fix(if that happens) what to expect....I would hope they dont charge unless they asked about sumthin.....took my vehicle in once before so they could fix the hazards switch and they did an oil change for me on the house....too bad they used crap oil and drained my mobile 1 synthetic oil i changed a week before that....I just hate it when they do anything without asking....like when I told them to change out the master cylinder for the clutch and flush the fluid so my clutch would pop back up in minus 40celsius, oh no they change the whole clutch inside claiming the springs were weak so they change out the slave while in there...it worked, until the next day when it was -40 and I was stranded on xmas eve on the freeway...so they changed out the master cylinder and it was fine.....just paranoid of these dealerships....When I say just do the recalls hopefully they will leave my synthetic oil alone :(
I will have to look up there at the rear leafs next time I am under there....hrmm

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
This isn't a new recall at all, it's been around since the trucks came out. The stock leafs are junk, I got the TSB done and never looked back. The old ones squeaked real bad, and they were weak as hell. Sure they rode nicer, but, I need a truck to be able to haul some weight, those wimpy things had to go!
