I have an 01 with foggy headlamps and have done the restoration which works for a while. Are the aftermarket lights as good as buying Toyota OEM parts? If the aftermarket brands are good which brand and vendor do you suggest? I don't want to waste my money on junk. Thanks

I sell aftermarket lights to my customers all the time, and we have bought them for family vehicles. Have never had a SINGLE complaint or issue with them. What I would suggest is make sure that they do state DOT approved, and that you just do a lit of research before you buy them. I spend anywhere from $70 a pair up to $175 a pair, depending on the vehicle.

I've been looking into this too.

I've seen some people complain about poor dispersion pattern on some aftermarket brands. I seem to recall some folks being dissatisfied with Anzo, and perhaps some others, but not sure of specific without more research.

You will notice that vendors like Rock Auto may have a couple different brands, or say you may get a different one depending on what they have in stock. I'd be picky and careful about this.

Bill, what brands have you used?

I usually stick with "Eagle Eye" brand.

    Is Depo brand any good?

    Update:

A local place (Hylinks) sells the Depo brand. I got them for $45.00 each (Assembly with bulb) and they were easy to install.
