not a joke and I'm not some spoiled rich douche bag, parents gave me the truck, i gave them my paychecks for several months maybe close to a year, then the truck was officially mine and no i didn't pay it off, my dads well off so he wanted me to have a decent car but nothing flashy. i did get a kick out of the whole zero amg's thing by the way

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Mercedes are money pits, any part you have to replace on that thing will cost a fortune, and since it is modified to hell, it will be way more prone to breakage. You will regret getting rid of your Toyota for that.

Mercedes are like Cadillacs, anything with the name Mercedes on it, the price automatically doubles, remember that. There is one for sale down the street from me, an older Mercedes diesel and it has sat there for months with a for sale sign in the window, for a good reason too.

Toyota Tacoma go-anywhere reliability, or the mechanic's nightmare Mercedes, you decide.

You live in Georgia. Kingdom of the off road. You love the truck, you obviously like to off road. If you get that 725 german junk leaker, you are obviously going to be hating life wishing you would had kept the indestructible Taco. I'm going to be the one here who will tell you that I hate to say I told you so also.

Do yourself a favor and keep the truck. If you want massive power, go buy a street bike.

Buy the Benz, I'll sleep better at night knowing you are stuck somewhere on a slightly grassy driveway with no traction.

You obviously are not asking for opinions on this board, only validation that buying a silly car with high mileage from a friend is the right choice (by the way, NEVER buy or sell cars from/to friends or family, it's just bad business that will lead to animosity as soon as something breaks).

You want legitimate, level headed advice? Look at the common theme of replies above, just don't think about coming back here to piss and moan when you burn through a summers worth of odd job savings on new tires every month or two.

i have thought about that but the truck is such a money pit i never had the money for the bike. i always want to do more to the truck, with the high powered car i would just keep it how it is. this is embarrassing but i suck absolute balls at driving clutch bikes, even though i can drive a manual car fine, but my brothers friend said he'll teach me soon.

The truck is only a money because you make it that way. It will be no different with the Benz. You will be searching more ways to squeeze more power out of the beast. Don't try and convince me, because I think you are trying to convince yourself on that one. Lmao. Honestly. Keep the truck. You will be doing yourself a favor. You are going to create a huge nightmare for yourself if you jump into that Benz. Mark my words.

Get a monthly quote from your insurance company, and get a quote on oil changes and brakes and tires on the AMG...

I had an Audi RS6 before the tacoma; best thing I ever did was sell that money pit...

Ok, ummm NO but I have to ask how is a 2009 Tacoma worth the same as a E55 AMG? Did I miss something here?

Tacoma is one of the best value holding vehicles in existence.

Any German luxury car (besides some Porsches, it seems) generally lose value like you would not believe. I would say most of it is fear of cost of ownership (paying for repairs/maintenance).

Supercharge the Tacoma! You'll (most likely) still save money over the next few years compared to the maintenance/gas/insurance costs you will incur on the AMG.
