After buying my first Tacoma last week ('02 3.4 V6 5spd.), I got a CEL within my first five miles. Codes are PO446 and PO441. I've found threads that offer possible remedies with links to the FSM, but these links keep resulting in a "page not found" message. I'm a 22r guy, so this engine is totally new to me. From what I WAS able to find, it sounds like I may have a defective/stuck VSV. Can someone tell me or show me where these are located. I know there's one on the char. can. but is it replaceable without replacing the entire canister? I found an engine bay pic of a VSV, but it was a 2nd gen which didn't help. Do 1st gens also have one under the hood and if so, where is it? Thanks guys!

Both are EVAP codes and it could be a VSV issue or possibly a leak within the tank/lines/hoses/cap. The diagnostics for these codes is EXTENSIVE. I work for ALLDATA and just looked it up, page after page of troubleshooting.

Looks like the sensor is located with the canister on the fuel tank.
