My 2005 reg cab 4wd w/ manual is getting frame replaced.
Any suggestions on what I should look into having replaced at this time also?
I am deffintly getting OME shocks and coils. Not sure what else?
They will be doing there report, which probably want about 10k worth of other stuff done.
Just curious if anyone has any ideas?
    Thanks!

I would love to know how bad your frame was, as I just bought an 06 that had a rusty frame and the dealer just put an undercoat on it for me. feel free to pm me any pics I would look at all metal brake lines and anything with the fuel tank etc.

I read these threads and wonder why anyone would want to add to the already huge task of swapping out a frame. I only ask this because I wouldn't trust the dealer to do an oil change (they screwed one up on me) let alone throw more items at them when doing a frame swap. I get that they would rather install new parts on a new frame, but I wouldn't let them do anything additional. Thats just my paranoid opinion.

Well I guess I will have to see their suggestions and prices before getting too excited.
I am a little concerned I drove it in and will have to tow it out d/t parts that were no good before they started, according to them. Will see

that's BS it should come back to you in better shape than it left. It is toyota's fault so any collateral damage should be on them

The dealer won't change anything that's not needed. But for instance, if you have a shock that is shot it's definitely to your advantage to have it replaced Because they will literally have the parts in their hands while transferring from the old frame to the new one, You will save quite a bit of money on labor. Just my 0.02$. As for "collateral damage" toyota did a great job in including the parts that are most likely to be damage during removal, in the frame parts package. (Lower control arms, adjustment cams, brake lines, leaf springs, u-bolts, shackles etc.) Also, when a part is damaged during removal they should replace it at no cost to you.

Yep, I am gonna get OME shocks and coils ordered soon but I think they will still try to charge labor on it! Also, tech mentioned ball joints were looking rough and they would have to do entire upper a arm. I would like to just order LS a arm, they are less expensive than oem. He also mentioned entire steering rack d/t small leak in return line, I will replace line myself. I would also like to do CV axles while they are in there but.. will have to see what type of labor they are gonna charge.
I hope they break a lot of things!!!

The oem upper ball joints come with the uca, but you can also get the ball joint separate from napa or autozone etc. I have replaced a few upper ball joints with jobber parts and they seem to do the trick. If the ome coil and spring setup come already mounted, they should not charge you labor. They have to remove the originals from the frame anyway. Instead of putting the originals on the new frame they will just install the ome setup. If they have to mount the shocks into the coil, then they will probably charge a bit of labor. As for the axles, why replace them?

I intend to have the shocks/coils assembled elsewhere. They wont do it there anyhow? I asked if they would put new shocks on since they were taking all off and tech said he would work with me on labor! They may not press aftermarket ball joints in there. He had another truck up and said guy didn't want them to do upper a arms, owner would do elsewhere. So they were going to credit him 50 bucks to get aligned elsewhere. Sounds like they would rather take easy way out and make money on parts and labor. Figure they are making a nice chunk on every frame replacement, this one dealership said they were doing 2-3/week.

I'm not gonna get too excited until I know more. Hell, they may break a bunch of stuff and end up replacing on there dime!

Oh, as far as new axles, I thought I might get deal on labor and order OEM off ebay. Keep old ones for spares.
    Thoughts?

Personally I think you're throwing your money away replacing your axles. If they are not making noise or the truck isn't vibrating because of them I would just keep the originals. You're more likely to have an issue with a rebuilt axle then reinstalling the originals that you know are fine. Besides replacing one of the front axles is cake, so if ever you do have an issue with one it can easily be replaced anyway.

Cool, I will hold off on axles. Maybe I will purchase one for spare. Anything you can think off to look into replacing while they have some of it apart?
    Thanks!

Make sure they check the rack and pinion for leaks. With the cab off an the engine out it makes it much easier to replace.
