My dealer has a leftover 2014 AC, auto, 4x4 and was wonderinf ig there are any differences compared to the 2015? They are asking $25,187, would it be reasonable to offer lower since its a 2014? This is going to be my first truck and I'm trading in my FRS for it.

2015 AC can be ordered with rear seat delete on the base trim level, which takes ~$1400 off the pricetag and frees up some room. Otherwise no difference.

Have you taken the truck for a test drive? Get it on the highway and make sure the on-ramp merging performance is up to your expections. 2.7L AC auto 4x4 has the second worst power-to-weight ratio of any vehicle in Toyota's lineup. To put things in perspective, the Scion iQ 3-cyl microcar offers better performance.

I wish that I could say that I was surprised by this ^^. After dropping off my 4cyl for recall work this morning and getting a '15 6cyl as a loaner, I just don't want mine back.
Test drive BOTH the 4 and the 6 before you make any decisions. And do it with the ac running!

Not unusual for a dealer to give you one a notch or two above what you have for a day or two.

Analogous to holding a carrot in front of you.

*SR model and even in manual the 2.7 is painfully slow.

Yes, that truck is now a year old and you should get a steep discount for it.

If they refuse to discount it - walk away from the 2014 make 'em sell you a 2015 for the same price.

Lol at "Steep discount" that's like $5 Off on a Toyota lot. This is not Ford or Chevy, where you can expect to get like $12K off.

Then you probably suck at negotiation. Of course your not going to get that much but at least a few grand knock off + a bit more for being an older model.

If the dealer only offers five bucks off - you take the 2015. It's a simple fact that a brand new 2015 is worth more than a brand new 2014. And the dealer knows it.

Tell him you will give him 21 for it, if he says its to low, then tell him to shoot you a number, let him come down some, then tell him you have found another one for 23. I bet you will walk away with it for about 23,500

Silly comment. Lots of people getting Tacoma at invoice or close to it.

drive it. if you like it then talk money. it is slow as fawk i will say, i test drove a 2.7 access cab auto 4x4 after having a 2.7 reg cab manual and it was pretty darn sluggish.. like pathetic and to the point of dangerously slow imo.

price wise you will get a little break off sticker price but don't expect the world off it.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Nothing different, the 4 cylinder hasn't changed since 2005, neither has the V6. Only things that have changed on these trucks are the interiors and front end designs.
