Welp, may as well say hello from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I'm Shaun, and this is my first Tacoma, although my last truck was a 91 Land Cruiser from Japan. I miss that one, but it got too expensive to maintain.

I got my Tacoma a couple months ago, used from a dealer, for 18500 CAD. Had a shitty spacer lift, but near perfect otherwise. Bought it mostly to get into remote ice climbing and skiing areas in the winter time near here. It's not gonna be an epic expedition machine, but I plan to have some fun fabricating and building my own parts to make it great.

    So far I've bought:

    - grill and the old school TOYOTA lettering for the front (land cruiser style)
    - stubby antenna
    - led fog lamps
    - led off road lights to mount on the back (Highway driving at night to force people with high beams to back off, aim sideways to set up camp, light up a waterfall to climb at night)
    - essential tools like truck machete, hatchet and farm jack

To come with the cash flow:

    - led light bar to fit inside the hood scoop
    - custom rack for the bed
    - custom ski box for the rack
    - internal led lighting
    - proper suspension for a 3 inch lift. (open to advice on that one)
    - some minor mods like anytime fog lights

I'll add pictures as I change things. This weekend the wife is out of town, so after the hangover is gone I'll be doing the grill and the Anytime fog lights I think. I'd rather use those for drl.

    As I bought it...

As it is now, new rubber is the main difference. I went with Duratracs, 285/70r17. Minor trimming and it only rubs if I compress the front near full lock.

I'll be updating with more pics and stuff as time goes on. Should have some time to get some work done this weekend on it.

    I'm always open to suggestions.
    Cheers!
