    1. Tailgators
    2. If I'm parked and I want light shining behind my truck it would be nice to be able to see.
    3. Driving down a dark road at night, The more light the better
    4. I think it would be a fun project.

i plan doing something very similar, i would think you would just be able to run 2 power supplies to the reverse light, one from wherever you want it powered via the switch, like a fuse or a tapped wire, and the 2nd from the reverse lights, i don't know if diodes are necessary, so hopefully someone more knowledgable can chime in

If you run power and tap onto the reverse lights then it will cause your "R" indicator to light on the PRNDL21 area of the dash. Although this is not known to cause any issues with the computer or transmission while in any other gear, I wouldn't recommend leaving it like that. You must relay and diode isolate the circuit. You also don't need to tap each light individually. You can locate the circuit up at the dash in multiple places. Easiest if you have a review camera because their is a reverse wire there that you can tap. A simple relay and 2 way switch will allow manual operation of the lights. In order to do a manual on AND off you would need either a second relay or switch or a 3 way switch and a different relay. That would get more complicated
