I am being told by two different tire dealers that 3 of mytires are out of round and it’s because of my lift? :eek:I'm getting a lot ofshaking/vibration in the steering wheel and I've had them balanced severaltimes. I've had the tires about 3 years. I'm running Toyo AT II tires with a 3inch lift. I also got upper control arms at install which I thought would helpwith the tires wear. Now I am being told, that over time, regardless of tires that I will continue to have the same problem because of the lift?? Oh, and Ishould also replace my struts? I've got about 70k miles on them. Is this to beexpected?

I call BS on that. I lift my Tacoma 3" and got used rims and tires and the tires were a bit chopped and had uneven wear but took them to my local Pep Boys and had them mounted and balanced and after 2,000 miles the tires are starting to wear more evenly. I have Dick Cepek rims so i made sure to install hub centric rings which helped out a lot. If you're running aftermarket rims that aren't hub centric then i would say that could be causing your uneven wear.

Here is the update: Toyo said they would give me a 30% discount per tire but would only do so if I go with a smaller tire. 275/70/16. I was running 285/75. Please advise!! Will they look to small w 3" lift? What would you do?

Have you watched the tire as the spin it on the balancer? How much lead is on each wheel? The tires are probably out of round. Lift, wheels, spacers, control arms won't impact that.
