    Hey guys!

I'm a newbie and looking to lift my 2003 4x4 extended cab (5 speed 4cyl) And after looking through these threads for weeks and looking online and calling several places I'm looking at getting this lift for my taco.

    https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/95-0...table-lift-kit-with-5100-shocks-95-04-tacoma/

This combination seems VERY popular on this thread and I wanted to get a review of it for my setup. I was looking at the description on that page and it said to stay away from it if you're running the 4 cyl engine due to the stiffness. I have a couple questions for people who have tried this setup.

    1) Is the stiffness really THAT bad? I'm mainly getting this kit for looks & to fit 33" BFG ATs. I off-road maybe 1-2 times a year and it mainly mud or snow just to play around.

    2) Will I need to replace the UCA's like a user on there mentioned?

    3) If you wouldn't recommend that setup, what would be a comparable product that won't break the bank.

"The front coil on ToyTec Bilstein Adjustable lift kit (BK9504) is a 620lb coil vs a choice between a 550lb coil, 600lb coil, and 650lb coil with ToyTec Ultimate lift kit (ULTAC-955). Also the ToyTec Bilstein Adjustable lift kit (BK9504) is NOT adjustable. After it is assembled you can only use the coils and shocks together on the first clip setting whereas the Ultimate lift is fully height adjustable."

Sounds to me like a better option for you would be the Toytec Ultimate so you can get a #550 or #600 coil.

Also, if you can afford it, get the UCAs. I've got my front lifted 2" with stock UCAs and can't get my caster back into spec. Alignment will be an issue with 3" of lift w/ stock UCA.

Yeah it looks like it. But the price is almost double what the lift kit I referenced I is. I'd like to be somewhere in that price range and not almost double.

Having had the 620# eibachs on my 4cyl.access cab with bumpers, skids, and sliders it was too much imo. I switched to ome 881s and was much happier. They rode super stiff, even after breaking in. They really need a decent amount of weight on them. Even with the weight of armor they were at like 3.75" lift after breaking in. Made the truck handle like crap and wander. I'd look at a softer coil if I were you. Especially if you don't have a few hundred extra pounds on the front end.

Also,.you'll seek need to trim to fit 33s regardless of lifting or not.

Hey y'all, I just bought the Toyotec suspension lift, with bilstein shocks and eibach coils. I'll send before and after pics soon.

Currently, the suspension is completely stock. The truck has 125,000 miles, so I'm hoping this new suspension not only gives the vehicle a better stance, but improves the drive quality.

Is Eibach still making the 1.6 inch springs? I can’t find them anywhere?
