I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma TRD and was thinking of purchasing a bull bar or grille guard. I want to protect the entire front end of the truck as, it is hard to judge the length of the same since they changed the style of it. I pulled in to a Sheets that had no concrete tire blocks and ended up running into their little red posts that put a crease in the front bumper. I have been searching for a bull bar and/or grille guard that prevent any further damage to the front of the vehicle. I don't do any off-roading but, just in case I would choose to, would like something to protect the same. The problem is they all say you have to remove the factory skid plate which I do NOT want to do. I want something to put on the truck that will allow the factory skid plate to remain and add additional protection to the front of the vehicle. Anyone have any input on this as I am getting quite dismayed by all the do's and dont's!? Any suggestions would be appreciated. If the SHTF I want something to protect the whole front end much like what law enforcement has. If they want to knock me off the road, I want the same option(s) available to my good self.

    X2 for avid off road.

Brush bars fold back in accidents and do more damage than good, bullbars have weak mounting brackets also.
