Bought a toolbox for my truck a week or so ago. I like to work on my truck after work, which is when it starts getting dark. I find myself needing to use an LED flashlight that I keep losing track of, and would like a way to get some lighting in the toolbox. Something that I could either use a switch for or to turn on when I open the box. I'm very illiterate with wiring, so if you guys have any ideas that don't involve that too much, I'd appreciate it lol

HID's, LED Dash swap, LED reverse lights, 15"x10" 5 slot mags, sliding rear window, 20gal aux. DS fuel tank,
You could run an LED strip across the lid and install either a normally closed momentary switch (normally on, off when pressed) or a typical on-off switch.

Then just run a fused hot from the battery and ground to the frame, tool box or body.
