2012 sport v6 auto transmission oil problem

    I really screwed up...I was going to change my engine oil....and started draining the auto trans oil....dont know how much came out....so how much do i put in...it is dead cold...do you fill it up to the fill plug? help!!!

    What did you do with the fluid that you drained?
    Dump it into a container that you can measure, and refill with the amount that you drained.

    Its in a container that had old oil in it....dont know how much i lost

    Did you drain it all they way, or did you realize your mistake and put the drain plug back in before you emptied the pan?

    FYI, the pan only hold about 2.75 quarts, so if you drain the pain entirely, you're looking at 3 quarts or less.
