My wife and I want to get our little girl a swing set soon. She will be 3 in January and we are wondering if it would be cheaper to build one or buy a swing set and assemble it. Do they make kits that come with some hardware, we would just need to buy the lumber? I am hoping someone here has done this before.

No advice on what is cheaper but my advice (from experience) is don't buy a little bitty swing set that she will outgrow in just a few years get one she can grow up with.

Yeah thats a great point. We are thinking that we are going to wait until spring so she can actually enjoy it. Between Christmas and her birthday in January I hate for her just to be able to look at it. So I guess we have some time to think and look at our options.
