why wouldnt this be a race hate crime?

This video upsets me also, but I don't agree that the bus driver is responsible for breaking up a fight on the bus. When I had to take the bus as a kid, some of the drivers were little old ladies like grandmas, I wouldn't expect my grandma to jump into a fight and possibly injure herself. The bus driver is responsible for safely transporting the kids, which to me means driving in a safe manner. I don't know how it is specified in the bus drivers manual or training, but I wouldn't think they would be expected/required to break up a fight unless it has escalated to the point where the kid is going to be seriously injured. I'd expect that they would pull over and notify dispatch to have the police enroute. Are school bus drivers trained in defensive tactics? They aren't out here, my sister drives a school bus. Kids are just more out of control nowadays.

Also before someone starts claiming hate crime one must understand what the legal requirement for a hate crime is....
A hate crime is when a person is targeted specifically because of the actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, or sexual orientation, sexual identity of any person.

In this situation you would have to be able to prove the person was attacked due to their race not because he stole the other kids lunch or whatever. Just because someone of one race hits someone of another race does not constitute a hate crime.

The attackers need to be kicked out of public school and put into an alternative school and also prosecuted for their actions.

 

my point is if it was the other way around and it was white kids beating a 1 black kid, YOU KNOW IT WOULD A HATE CRIME. not just kids being stupid assholes.samething if its a white cop and a black guy.its racisim because he is being targeted.
we as a country allow this shit to go on. its never racist when a black guy does something to a white guy, but if its the other way FORGET ABOUT IT,THEY WANT TO HANG THE WHITE MAN. you dont say bless you to a black person and they want to hang your whole family.

 

Agreed. And I'm sick of hearing the term "Reverse Discrimination". There is no such thing. Either you are or you aren't. That, in itself, is discriminating against yourself. Acually, it's kinda comical in that aspect.

 

This is totally a race motivated beating. But it should get the same punishment as a non-race related beating. God I hate "hate crimes"...ridiculous.

Where are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? They would already be on the seen if the victim was black and the aggressors were white.
