99 toyota tacoma makes noise

    thank you for accepting me in your forum
    i have 99 toyota tacoma v6 wen i stop and wen i hit the overdrive it makes noise like if it has a broken motor mount but i check and all motor mounts are ok other wise it runs fine shifts fine thank you

    Bilsteins, OME 881's, 3-leaf AAL, Detroit TruTrac, Tundra brake swap, Michelin LTX AT2, Tranny skidplate, TC skidplate, CBI rear bumper, TG sliders, UltraGauge, PowerTank, Reverse Camera
    Not sure about the overdrive problem (does the OD use a solenoid?).

    The other problem might be caused by axle wrap, pretty common.

    thank you tan4x4.......just purchase it dont know if it use a solenoid wen i stop and let go of brake is wen it feels like the mounts are broken (what is a axle wrap?)

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    that would be worn out front end parts

    wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar, arm bushings, steering rack bushings

    jack up one wheel and see if it wiggles up or down or side to side, then look to see what moves and what doesn't move. the good parts wont move and the bad parts will have play in them then jack up the other side and check that side
