I have a 2011 reg cab 4x4. I would like to level the truck out without making the truck ride too stiff. I have lifted other light trucks before and don't want the kidney punching ride. I know to stay away from 5100s. What other options do I have besides dropping $1500 or more on a set of icons and uca's. (seems to be the best). thanks

Why would you say stay away from 5100s? The only way those get kidney punching is if you go 2.5" and use TRD coils or a coil that already does lifting with 5100s set any higher than 0 or .85. I highly doubt you have TRD coils first of all. Secondly you said level the truck and that won't require more than the .085 or 1.75" setting on 5100s. My reg cab is set on 1.75 and is on whatever coils come on SR5s. They are not the same stiffness as with my 05 AC set at 2.5" with TRD coils. That was the kidney punch you speak of.

from the reading on this forum,I was under the impression that 5100 on a reg cab rode really rough. Anybody else wants to chime in ?

Mine rides nice, on road and off. At least the front does. Have oem 4 leaf packs going on the back with less than 5k on them. Hoping to help out the unstiffness of the weak ass 3 leaf packs back there. Should be nice help for reg cab. I doubt any prerunner reg cabs come with 4 leaf packs and not sure if any of the 4wd reg cabs do either. Not looking for any lift back there just sturdier truck worthiness.
