rear tire wear???

    my rear tires are rubbing much faster on the inside of the rear tires. by inside i mean closest to the center of the truck not the center of the tire...and ideas? :rolleyes:

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    hmmm, never heard of a bent rear end housing before but that is the only way I can think of it being able to be riding only on the inside edges of the rear tires, if both bearings were that bad im sure the axles would be leaking

    Could be worn rear bearings allowing for added camber. How many miles on the truck?
    you could jack up the rear axle and see if the camber becomes positive or if you can find slop in the bearings up and down.
    Might be causing a toe out when driving as well, increasing the wear faster.

    Maybe they got worn while on the front due to an alignment issue and not apparent until the overall tread depth got lower allowing more visual contrast. Do you rotate the tires?
