Like any old way, boiled, pan seared, or on the grill. And most of the brands mentioned above are my favorites too.

One thing I have started liking is Heinz 57 on the bun. No mustard, ketchup or anything else. Add onions or whatever you like too.

Nathans for hotdogs, slow cooked on the bbq.

Basque chorizo is better than any hotdog, brat or ____wurst you will ever eat. If anyone is ever in Carson City, NV you have to eat at the Villa Basque Deli. Pete is famous for this stuff.

Oscar mayer all beef franks, boiled, broiled, grilled or pan fryed. I really like the grilled, but if i cant grill then i like it broiled. I always put the mustard/ketchup on the bun, then put the frank on, then the chili. Sometimes just eat it with mustard and slaw, no chili.

Every time I go to the ballpark and have a steamed dog with steamed bun it's the best damn hotdog I've ever had. I don't think there's a wrong way to cook them. :anonymous:

No the nitrates and nitrites are added to extend the shelflife of the product. Natural casings are from sheep- (hotdog) and pig- (brats) beef-(bologna) cleaned intestine.
