I'm looking at getting some new tires for my Tacoma and since I want something a little more off-road (for fishing) I was looking at the Cooper STT. I know there are some people in this area on here and I was wondering how you think they would do in the winter? What I have had on it are Cooper H/T and they seem to do pretty ok, but I get a lot of rocks in them. My truck is stock 4x4 height. I also don't want something that is going to have insane vibration on the highway since it is my daily driver. Any thoughts?

I am a fan of Cooper and run the ATP's right now. I like them but also really like the AT3's. I also hear nothing but good things about the Hankook ATM's, they will probably be my next tire.

I'm on my third set. They'll 45,000 miles easily if rotated every 5000 miles. The stt are very good in snow. Very smooth tire for being mts.

I might go with the Cooper A/T3 tires because they are better in every single category than the H/T I run now. They don't look as cool as the STT, but those are worse in a lot of categories.

All the time I lived there used BF Goodrich KO tires. Lived both in Incline for three years and Dayton for 6. Did not have a 4x4 then though. Funny had to chain up in Dayton, never chained up at Tahoe. That dang ice always got me
