2010 Tacoma with ARB OME heavy lift. 16X8 steel rims. I want to go up to tall narrow tires that will fit without rubbing issues, any size suggestions?
    Will 223/85/16 fit?

agreed. If you want something lighter the 235/85r16 would also work but they are a 32" tire so not super tall. Same height as 265/75r16.

255/85/16 I am probably going that route with my next set of tires.

There are many different threads covering fitment of 285/75/16's.

    General consensus is:

Probably have to do some minor trimming, perhaps a cab mount chop.

Run a wheel with 4.5 inch backspacing, no more than 8" wide.

If you want to run stock wheels, you'll have to run 1.25 inch spacers to clear the UCA.

    Running this exact setup:

full 3" OME lift with 285/75/16's wrapped around 16x8's with 4.5 BS

    - CMC
    - Minor trimming for on road driving
    - Removed mud flaps
    - SPC (LR) UCAs

When I decided I wanted to go 285s, I began researching on TW how many people had to do a CMC. The results were that if you go off pavement and flex, you will rub on the cab mount with 285s. So, I went to a local member's house, NwiTaco, for some suspension upgrades and we did a CMC also that day in anticipation for the 285s.
