    My company is hiring for a position in the data development department. We are manufactures of automotive diagnostic/scan tools. We need someone who is both experienced in the automotive industry preferably as a technician and has good PC skills. Microsoft Excel proficiency is a must.

    Job Description: The function of the Data Development Technician is to assist in the development, maintenance, and management of both new and existing projects for the Innova Data Center.
    The Data Development Technician will be successful when he/she is successful at:
    • Supporting a high-quality product development process in a fast paced environment
    • Performing all stages of database content development and implementation
    • Maintaining a detailed oriented mindset to properly validate various projects within the developmental phases
    • Generating new product and content ideas based on knowledge of the industry to ultimately deliver profits to the company
    • Protecting the interests of the company by maintaining confidentiality about new product development
    The following are principal duties of the Data Development Technician: Performing all stages of database content development
    • Research, gather, manipulate, organize and document automotive data from various sources, according to engineering specifications Maintaining a detailed oriented mindset to validate various projects
    • Document test results and recommend product improvements Generating new product and content ideas based on knowledge of the industry
    • Generate new product and content ideas based on technological advancements, trends, customer feedback and market demands
    Qualifications: Must have 1+ years of relevant automotive maintenance/repair experience
    Must be ASE Certified
    Must have knowledge of OBD2
    Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure
    Must be result orientated and self-motivated
    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Must have the ability to work both independently and as a team member
    Experience and/or understanding of Microsoft Office with a typing speed of 30wpm or more
    Experience and/or understanding of the Internet and web based services
    Experience and/or understanding of AllData/Mitchell on Demand/ChiltonPro
    A degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent is preferred
