Just a basic question--how much snow can a soft-topper take before it is in danger of collapsing?

Do most folks put theirs down for the winter? I have a couple of 50lb sand tubes over the wheels, but I also sometimes appreciate the added traction of a bed full of snow. I'd kinda' like to haul some chairs down South in it on vacation this winter, too, so I don't really want to deal with shoveling my bed...

Thoughts? Just keep it on until after my vacation? Or omgno!!!
