Has anyone experience this with their HIDs from Slim?

The left headlight would sometimes come on and most of the time it would not turn on. Before when I turn the car on the headlight would not turn on. When I shut it off and then turn it on again, the light would come on.

During the winter the symptoms seems to happen more often than it did in the summer.

This only happens to the left (driver side) headlights.
I swapped ballast, bulbs, and re-installed everything. The symptoms still occurs only on the driver side.

    crap bolted and welded together....
If you swapped a ballast and it did the same, swapped bulbs and it did the same. I'd expect their to be a connection problem somewhere. Double check all that jazz and should solve the problem.

Sounds like you're powering the ballasts with the factory headlight harness. This is the wrong way to do it. The wire is too small of a gauge and the path is too long, causing voltage drops that are enough to prevent the ballast from firing.

You need one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xenon-HID-C...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cd58c6e31&vxp=mtr

It's plug and play and will take about half an hour to install.

Additionally, I'm guessing you have drop-in HIDs in your factory halogen housings. Do yourself and the rest of the world a favor and do a proper projector conversion. You are blinding oncoming traffic, and any "improvement" in light output you get from the headlights is coming at the expense of those around you. Don't be an asshole, do it right.

This is the Group Buy kit from Slims on this website. The kit came with a similiar harness that's in the ebay link.

Yota Bird what do you mean pluging it in backwards?

i dont have a kit from Slim but I do have a full HID projector retrofit. I had that issue before and found out that TRS re designed their ballasts and the ignitor inside the ballast are defective.. it doesnt give enough spark when it gets cold. so like you, i had to turn it on and off twice for it to stay on. so to me it sounds like a ballast issue...try switching the ballasts

how did i fix my issue? upgraded to OEM Denso ballast

Ditch them and put your OEMs back in.

Plug the connectors in the opposite way, like upside down, flip them
