i just bought that horn set a few hours ago, it was $11 shipped on ebay

i was curious how he installed them as far as how he pointed them and where they were mounted but i'll figure it out.

one thing i learned using them on my motorcycle is you cant let water get into the shell or they crap out in a day or two, the innerds get rusty or something if it gets wet all the way to the core because it turns into something that sounds like its suffering lol

ok, shipping was lightning fast so horns are installed now

didn't have room for them behind the grille, only had room for one where the old horn was and the ac lines and canister took all other available space and I didn't want to separate them in different locations.

since I had relocated my windshield washer reservoir to the side fender under the hood I had the space where the filler neck used to be so i put the pair of horns there on the side of the radiator between the air box and the headlights.

it just barely fit in there so I got lucky otherwise I was maybe thinking I had to mount them behind the bumper as a next option but I wanted it out of the weather so it lasts longer.

my truck front end looks nothing like Madjik_Man in that thread link on the first page, there is almost no spacing between the grill and cross member and there is no empty space anywhere on any side to add anything unless you remove something to make room. in my case that would have been the a/c system and that wasn't going to happen lol.

sounds great now, like a ford f150 horn, nice and loud and gets attention when you blow it

Nice. Glad it worked out. I wonder if the difference in our front ends (no homo) is because you're 2WD and I'm 4WD.

must be, I think they push the grille out further and put a bigger radiator or something because I literally have like 2 1/2" gap from the grill to the radiator. then again maybe its to give you room for add-on coolers that 2wd don't need.

I can even get my hand behind the grill on mine but yours looks like you have a lot of room.

but then I have a billet alum grill so maybe that takes a good bit of room in the spacing but I still have no flat empty place to mount anything

My 2015 PreRunner has stock horns which blast with reasonable authority. Not nearly as good as the stock horns on my 328 GTS Ferrari, though.

The horns on my Tacoma are nothing compared to my mazarati or my dusenburg.
