Anyone else problems with headlight recall?

I have been waiting for my headlights since august 7th and no one knows when they are going to come in. They say they can't give me and ETA or anything. Is anyone else having these kind of problems?

 

What's the recall about?

 

on certain tacos from 05-11 the daytime running light cover is melting and they said it was a safety issue so they put a recall on them.

 

So I should wait a while to burn mine?

 

u can. u may want to check with your local stealership to make sure your truck is included.

 

I dont think I have to deal with that.... I have uber bright aftermarket westin lights
*me: pushes button to turn them on*
*lights dont turn on*
*Me: oh yeah I need to fix that*

 

My buddy went in since his are cracked on the inside in front of the headlight not dtrl and toyota denied it. Has to be in front of the dtrl and the dealer told him they were on back order for a month. Glad i have a 13

 

Don't think it's an actual recall, it's a "warranty enhancement". It applies to certain models w/DTRL. I got mine earlier this week. I went in a couple weeks ago for a service an asked about the letter I got, parts ordered after inspection and went in a week later for replacements. Even got OEM smoked ones.

 

I got mine replaced the day I took my truck in and asked about it. The dealership I went to had them in stock. My dad is waiting on his though(from a different dealership).
