P0500 code speedo cable broke

Hi, My speedometer cable broke about a month ago. I have been having problems with the idle in drive, rpm's go down 50-75. My question is would
that be the cause of my truck showing a p0500 code. I had another problem
with the cat. and I've been running it with the engine light on, so I'm not
sure if the 500 code came up right after the cable broke or not.

Anyone know where the speed sensor is for a 1996 Tacoma 2.4L is?
