My Tacoma has been parked near a 40' pine tree that is shedding its needles. I have been hosing off the truck and cleaning off the black cover just below the windshield. My truck smells so strong of pine it almost makes you sick. I pulled the cabin air filter and there were some needles on it but not a ton. I blew out the cabin filter with compressed air, its only been in there for 2000 miles.

Do you think that its possible that there are as bunch of needless down in the cowl that I can't see and that I would need to pull the cowl cover? I pulled it in my 2006 when my wiper linkage crapped out but I don't recall if there were places where these needles may be collecting.

    What do you think?

Dude, sounds to me like you got an unlimited car scent haha I would just pop a new air filter in and drive it around a bit

Is your paint finish full of sap? Parking under pine/maple trees in the summer is paint job suicide.

If you've cleaned your cabin filter and you're still getting the same strong smell. If you're still on good terms with them, take it in to the dealer.
