Just wondering who is into Nascar here. Anybody gone south of the border to any races?

I have been down to New Hampshire(last September) and Daytona 500 this year(Christmas present from my wife).

Love the Truck series as much as the Sprint Cup series.

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
Yeah, I'm down with it. I live about 35 miles north of Talladega so this place gets crazy twice a year. My dad worked for Goodyear here and I grew up getting to skip school on Fridays and go to the time trials with my dad. I've got to meet everyone from Davey Allison to "The king" Petty. Back then, in the early 80's, they would give the Goodyear employees tickets to the time trials for free and would have two or three of the big name drivers for Goodyear come and do PR at the plant a few days before the race.

Sweet. That is one of the tracks on my list to go to. I hear it is quite an experience to camp there. I listen to the Nascar channel on Sirius a lot. I think my next trip is going to be Charlotte next fall. I want to spend a bit of time and check out some of the race shops and the new Hall of Fame.
Closest track for me though is the Magic Mile, about a 10 hour drive.

If you come to talledega they also have a hall of fame and museum that are worth stopping by. It has everything from classic stock cars like Petty's STP charger to the Bud rocket car.
