Thought I would introduce myself and ask some questions. This could be long, sorry

    Me
Long time BMW guy. Been involved over 13 years now. Enthusiast.
Hobbyist fabricator. I'm boring, enough about me.

    Truck
04 Taco, EXT Cab, 4x4 TRD SR5 manual trans
1 owner, rust free just turned 100k on me this morning
I bought it about 4 weeks ago

    Things i have done
    All fluids
Rebuilt Clutch master and slave cylinder
All new bushing in the pedal assembly (damn squeak)
    CSB
    Grey wire
    TG diff breather

    Shifter
I like everything very very smooth and precise so naturally i can't stand the way the shifter feels. I was looking at the Marlin Short Shift kit. I realize this will shorten the throw but what about improving the crispness. That is what i am really after.

    Exhaust.
Seeing that the 3.4 is such a short stroke engine There is no reason to do headers that i can see nor is there a reason in increase tube size so mine will be 2.25. I do how ever want to smooth some of the transitions and play with the collector placement. What my question is is how sensitive is the o2 sensor in the downstream cat. I see it only a 1 wire so it isn't heated. Is it only a monitor? When i redo the exhaust i want to go to only 1 cat. If i weld in a long bung for the rear 02 will i run into any trouble?

    Small lift
I am sure this has been beat to death but never can find a solid answer.
5100 up front with 1.5 lift and 5125 rear with no lift. I see everyone is replacing the front springs. If i am not adding any heavy bumpers is there a point? I do some mild woods drives and a few creek crossings. i dont see any hardcore wheeling anytime in the future for me. I do have a set of Nokians 265/75r16 on the way.

    Thanks for your time.

I am going to replace the U Joint at the transfer case on the rear driveshaft. I am having an issue with the parts house on deciding which one is correct.

Looking for a part number, factory or aftermarket don't care.
