I'm guessing you had it in 4hi and not 4lo. If you had it in 4lo you'd definitely know as soon as you got up to speed and would've done noticeable damage at 60mph that long. If you were in 4hi than I'd just keep an ear open and listen for any noises out of the ordinary, otherwise you should be fine. Don't worry all of us do this one time or another.

Lol I just drive from ND to IL and most of the drive was 4wd. You'll be fine, just don't make any hard turns on dry pavement

When I left my house for a 50 mile drive to work if there was any chance of ice or if there was snow on the ground I used 4WD. I bought the truck because it had 4WD so it seemed pretty stupid not to use it. I did not switch back a forth if I came to dry spots I knew the components were strong enough to survive the 100 mile round trip. Now the old thing started to get a little long in the tooth around 285,000 miles not to mention the rust spots in the frame. The total repairs to the drive line during that time consisted of the replacement of the rear drive shaft U joint at 206,000 miles that lead me to believe I had not done any real damage to the 4WD. My 2011 has 53K on it now and I have not changed my ways I do drive it in 4WD even the summer time quite often following Toyota’s guide lines I do not like the automatic system but that is the only way the internal parts of the ADD get any lube to all the internal guts and so far I have not broken anything so I guess I will continue with my evil ways.

If there was damage, you would most probably know it by now...a few decades ago, my ex-wife drove the FJ60 Land Cruiser out of a blizzard up in the Texas Panhandle to Hope, Arkansas and wouldn't slow down to take it out of four wheel drive for 200 miles PAST the snow. All the FJ 60 did was drink slightly MORE gas than normal.

Our Dodge M37 almost never comes out of four wheel drive, and usually stays in four wheel low...but then again, it never sees a paved surface.

If you want to know exactly what a M37 is...

I'll never understand this whole "NEVER DRIVE IN 4WD ON PAVEMENT!!" So what... It's not going to hurt a thing. If you're doing circles on dry pavement then obviously... Getting on a highway and driving 60mph for 12 miles??!! :gasp:

    Don't worry about it OP.

I've done this...oh about 50+ times in my truck over the years. Don't worry about it.
