Just purchased from autozone online and got a $25 gift card when I selected ship to home. So $75 ain't bad for a flowmaster!

Great find  Plenty of options for the y-pipe including a custom built one you weld yourself.

Stopped in a friends muffler tune shop today and his father told me Magnaflow came in last month wondering why sales were down. The discussion leaned towards the number of exhaust outlets cracking and it seems to have impacted the shops backing of Magnaflow.
Magnaflow noted that the issue has been resolved and they should have no future problems.
Then we got to talking about my truck. I had planned to buy another TRD and modify the pipe for off road use.
I really am impressed with Flowmaster and their design but, in the end....dammit.... I am having him install the Magnaflow :anonymous:
Honestly, I have no problem with admitting that I went with Magnaflow just based on the sound. Yep, no more, no less. I am not expecting any gains, just sound .

Ive gotta agree with this, another reason why I got the 6 speed... me personally im very happy with TRD catback.. and some other exhausts sounds great on startup, but then they fool you, you get about half way through the rev band and you start saying wtf to yourself because all of a sudden uncle benny starts cooking the rice lol... ive heard quite a few different mufflers on these trucks, and quite a few different v6s on other branded vehicles, like this guy says, its very difficult to get any v6 to sound right, imo, the TRD does it the best justice it possibly can. Only other v6 ive heard sound good becides the vr6 is the the buick GN 3.8t , and some gm 4.3's , the stock exhaust on a g35 and the subaru 3.0 and 3.6... granted those are flat 6's but still 6 cylinder engines none the less lol :p also, ive never understood the hangup with magnaflow and the areo turbines on these trucks, I dont think either sounds particularly good in any way.... but, everyone's ears are certainly different, to each their own

Look at a spintech 9000. There's videos on YouTube. I had a flowmaster and it droned horribly and was a lot higher pitched then the spintech

    Howdy,
I had a v6 Jeep and had a 60 series flomaster on it. It was deep with no drone. It is the only flomaster designed for a 6 cylinder engine. Check one out you might like it. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah my 40 series FM sounds like crap lol. I just had it cut off and a turndown before rear axle. It is deff louder but I want deep. I do like the fact that I can actually hear it.

    Things I need to tow.
Don't agree that the V6's can't have a good exhaust sound. I've heard all of the popular aftermarket cat-back systems, the TRD system, and several simple muffler swaps. The MBRP dual system is what I have with a Vibrant resonator in the front head pipe which removes the residual rice and boom. On LB models, there's room for a second resonator if you want it even quieter. And, it sounds fine on the automatics.
