I ran the zone on my 12 and got the basic 4" kit and adapted it to my needs turning it into a 6" kit and never had any issues. Both zone and bds are both owned by the same company sport truck usa. The drop bracketry on the 4" and 6" kits for zone and bds kit is the same. The way they achieve the extra lift in front is by adding a small preload spacer between the coil and top hat. Both basic kits have the same top hat spacer and the spindles are the same as well. Only major difference is the side plates which are stamped a lil different.

On mine I ran the bilstein f4-be5-e122-to which is the front shock used on the rcd kit. This with the stock coils will give you 5" of lift and I ran a 1/2 top plate spacer and longer bolts for the extra lift. By doing this you eliminate running the top hat spacer on the basic kits. You can always add ome 883 coils or just use 2 1/2 top plate spacers if you want additional lift in front.
In the rear I ran the expos , 2" block in rear and used the bilstein be5-b110-t5 which is what is used on the rcd kit as well. I also added longer stainless brakelines from allpro to eliminate bending or cutting any existing brake brackets.
I too was in your shoes before I got my kit and did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger and went my route. No regrets at all and the truck drove great.
