I have a had a problem finding accurate info on OME 2 in lift for my 15 DCLB. Guy at ARB said something had changed in the rear end and they are no longer shipping the 14 lifts out to people with 15's. But I have read on a couple sites including this one people have used other brand lifts that have been used on previous modle years. I am new to the site and apologize if this topic is covered anywhere but I searched my best before I posted, because I know how much you guys love the new guys asking dumb all ready answered questions. All advice and help would be much appriciated as I wanna get my girl off the ground asap. Blake

Welcome friend! Just so you know model years 2005-2015 are all the same as far as suspension is concerned. I'm not sure how high you want to lift but if you keep it under 3" in the front nothing needs to be changed, nor will CV angles nor boots be a problem. As far as the rear goes, maybe brake lines, unless you figure out a way to space them from the axle to the line plate itself. The rest is obvious stuff that needs to be changed. Shocks, leaf springs (or blocks but I hate those) and u bolts to longer ones. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice, has anyone actually installed the OME 2 inch lift on a 15 tacoma. Or what lift have they installed that's under 3 inch, I would love to go higher put got a baby that the wife won't be able to put in the car seat at a higher height. Yeah I know but it is what it is

Are you thinking of going with the 884's ?

Cause 885's will get you 2 1/2" up front and the Dakars will get you the same out back

honestly i don't now what that is, I'm ok with going with 2.5 if that makes front and rear level, would do something like that affect towing negatively?

The OME lift can consist of different front coils which will lift the truck different amounts . The ARB literature claims that the Light Kit ( 885 coil ) will lift you 2" but in reality it's usually 2 1/2" with no added weight up front , the rear OME leaf packs are called Dakars

Just as a heads up. If you want to level the front to the rear, you will have to go with a lift that is 1.75." If you go 2.5 the front will then sit higher then the rear. If you want to raise the back too to achieve 2.5 in the front and still sit level you may have to get a 1.5" AAL or similar.

thank you guys very much for the patience and explanations, i want it level and from all my research looks like 5100 up front is the best idea. just wondering if there is a competent complete life system i can purchase that has everything i need without buying dirrerant parts all over the place?

He's talking about the OME kit , or at least that's what I assumed

I wouldn't say 5100's are the best idea unless your main motivation is budgetary

AAL's should state their height , Dakars return 2 1/2" on average for doublecabs

budget is not a issue, just want a solid 2 to 2.5 inch lift, do mostly highway driving but weekend are spent at mountain or beach so would like the extra clearance and want to put a little bit different tire and rim package

The OME Dakar leaf packs are best suited to hauling constant weight like a cap and tools or a steel aftermarket rear bumper etc , they are exceptional as far as weight carrying capacity when loaded but the flip side of that is that they are very stiff unloaded
