Kinda useless with the double din without a screen, the single dins are as capable. Unless someone wants a full look.

I have the previous model of this and it sounds really good, it just can't seem to get radio song names to display correctly though.

I chose the double din model to avoid people wanting to steal my shit, it works well and fills in the space (besides, the pocket under the single din is useless anyway).

Which is why I said unless someone wants a full look. They're just as easy to steal as single dins are.

Plus why do that when you can use the extra din space to put switches in a panel.

x2. I wasn't looking to spend a ton on a radio. And this one was perfect for what I wanted. Which was the 'full look' and I think it looks perfect in our dash. Love the big volume knob and all the other controls are perfectly placed. Have no trouble with it. Love the color options too. A bit bright at night and the 'dimmer' doesn't really hardly dim it at all. And yeah the radio broadcast info is not as functional as it should be but I don't really use it. The mixtrax WAS pretty cool at first to mess around with, but I don't use it anymore. But, still a great choice for anyone wanting a basic upgrade, even with the few little 'flaws' it has. Not really flaws, just extra options I don't care about anymore. On single dins I just thought everything was always too scrunched in too tightly. And yeah the pocket is pretty useless imo too. But yeah I'll probly never get another deck again. Just wanted to share this find. Not sure how long the sale will go on. Not too shabby even if not on sale.

Edit:And this is on the previous model I have. So I'm unsure what's different in this model or if the issues in the other were fixed/redesigned to work better, like the broadcast info and dimmer..

We are on the same page, my point was that it looks less desirable, being sort of large and bulgy. Less small and futuristic while having all the features is what I was after. I did want that switch panel from paranoid, so I got the ashtray one, I was the one who suggested to bend it 20 degrees upward when he was first designing them.
