how scientific are you getting regarding similar conditions (engine temp/humidity/air temperature/etc...)?

here's an interesting case where K&N's products were examined by a civil, federal jury

here is what the jury found:

"19. K & N did not commit any unlawful, unfair or fraudulent business act or practice or engage in any unfair, deceptive, untrue or misleading advertising with regard to its advertisements concerning horsepower gains."

pretty interesting case to read about. it's the only lawsuit I could find on westlaw about the products...

like I said, you don't build a corporate giant out of a sham product without surviving some formidable challenges by competitors or consumer rights attorneys.

 

I remember when I put mine on. throttle response was faster and I felt extra pull around 3k rpm... I've never dyno'd though...

 

All my friends that have tacos that also have CAI only got boosts in power and fuel economy once the got exhaust also and vice versa. There's no science or dyno just us knowing how it felt before and after and having kept records of fuel economy. We are also in canada, not sure why that should make a difference but there you have it!

 

Oh and I've heard the old TRD is just K&N before and it was verified by my buddy at a dealership. Again in canada.
