Finally did my suspension after 2 years of debating. Rancho Quicklift strut/coil. Bilstein 5100s, Wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal. Rides great and sits perfect for my taste.

As cool as that is, it would annoy me personally. What about a phone? Might be a better size for that location! Or maybe just move ipad to a lower location, and then just swap in and out as needed :-/ dunno what the app is so forgive me if that is an ignorant suggestion :)

I put close to 30k on my vehicles a year. That's the result of a 100 mile round trip for work (222 days a year), at least 20 or so family parties per year at 100 miles round trip, trips to Texas or Vegas to see my family, plus all the BS driving around town one does when one is not in the office. The money I go through on gas, oil, tires....siiiiggghhh.

It really makes my head ache when I think that, even with an OCI of 5k, I am changing oil every 2 months or so, and filling up my tank twice a week. 3x a week when I have to drive my Taco for work all the time (like now thanks to the Camry being on the injured reserved list).

Oh i got the info! Already getting the claim started. The bumper is completely screwed. The head/corner housing is completely crooked and cracked. And the fender punched back into the door jam so the door wont open. Im just praying to god theres nothing wrong underneath.
I seriously wanted to scream but I held my cool long enough to make the exchange.

Your guys' insurance companies must suck. When a girl rear ended me I had a check within a week and we didn't do any police reports or anything.

I was gonna say... switch insurance co's... even if it's the other person's insurance... your insurance should be lighting the proverbial fire under their ass.

I know USAA will hook me up right away to get me taken care of then go after the other insurance to get them selves re-embursed

That long for an insurance claim? I would think something is up, like they are doing some deep investigation. Or they are just lazy. And were I you, I'd be mum about any new things coming, as in not posting anything like that up in a forum. You never know if they have adjusters on these kinds of forums, as these are popular places for people to post up images and stories of accidents; a gold mine for insurance companies to get info that a person may not offer up to them. I'm a devious business kind of minded guy...

Sucks though, always hate to hear of a Tacoma getting smashed. Glad you are OK.

I told the adjuster I had a new rear bumper already and he didn't care. He asked me if I was going to have them fix it, but didn't hassle me at all when I said I just wanted a check. He still tallied it up like I was going to buy another OEM rear bumper. Oddly I was rear ended in the 3 days that I put the stock rear bumper back on to repaint my plate bumper.

The ones to the left under the tablet is my tpms.

To the right under stereo is a digital temp gauge for the ac. So I can keep an eye on it in case it starts to leak or go out. Just a preventative measure gauge;) in case if it starts to not work properly here in az I'll have a heads up. Although I rarely look at it anymore. Kinda think it was a dumb idea now, but oh well it was cheap. Its 'supposed' to be an outside air temp gauge but I put the sensor inside the a/c vent.
Yeah the more I'm playing with it the more I don't like it. Just too big even though it's not much bigger than my phone screen wise. My HTC one max was PERFECT for this. And the tablet I got was a refurbished Acer iconia a100, and it's pretty shitty. Not because of the refurb, but in general. Ranked like 11k on benchmark. Ha. My phone outranks it by a long shot. Getting rma'd. Just didn't wanna deal with the hassle mounting/dismounting my phone every single time. Wanted a more 'permanent' solution. Torque is the app used with a Bluetooth obd2 port that feeds back all kinds of great info from all the sensors. Like a scanguage. But on your android device with customizable options and all kinds of other cool shit:)

DOH! That's luck for you. So far the only times I have been rear ended have been extremely low speed, nothing at all damage wise.
