LED light bar in hood scoop install-results

Following "rkfoote" install thread, I finally got around to putting one in my '11 tacoma. I bought a 10" Rigid Industries SR2 from "Chas of MRT"( highly recommended and awesome service!!) with the combo pattern. This light has the hyperspot LEDs in the middle and the driving lights on the outer edges. I thought this would give the best throw and a little side spill light and I like it a lot.

Anyway, here are the pics. As always the pics don't do the light justice. It's insanely bright in the hotspot area.

Just a little note, I use this on the road only when there are no other cars but did have a satisfying moment the other night-I was driving on some rural highways and there was a long stretch of 2 lane where a camaro had its high beams on. I flashed my high beams at him 3 times from quite a distance off and they refused to use their low beams. I then turned on my light bar and they quickly turned their lights down. I could only imagine their reaction, " HOLY CRAP! Fine fine I'll turn my low beams on!"

For the light bar pic- it wasn't aimed correctly at the time but it is now. I am thinking about adding a 20-30" bar in the lower bumper but wonder how much more light it would really give me. I think the 10" are a great bang for the buck

Light Bar-If you notice, the light bar wasnt aimed quite correctly. It was too low. But if you can see it illuminating the trees just imagine what it looks like now when aimed properly. I think its a roughly 700 m throw. Spill isnt great but the throw is more than you'll ever need unless you're traveling over 150 mph
