I am not even sure that is what they are officially called but from some searching I done on this forum it seems so. Mine are basically stock and and they just spray a dual stream per nozzle on the windshield. Not that is bad it does just fine but my 2013 Jetta has a nice thing where it soaks the whole windshield and not just two spots.

Does anyone know if I could buy some new nozzles that do this and just install them and if so has anyone done anything like this that can point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

I think you have touched on something that has never been discussed on here,,but I could be wrong.

    2013 Jetta nozzles will work?

yep, im in, the stock ones suck so does anyone have info on good replacements? I don't want to have to "make something work" so I want a simple pop in replacement if there is one.

wonder if the new Tacoma ones are any better?

There is a thread here where someone took the sprayers off a Lexus(?) and they were a direct plug and play on the Tacoma.

Instead of the dual stream the pattern is now a fan spray.

someone in that thread mentioned second gens had a fan pattern spray but nothing more was said about it, can anyone confirm if it is this true and would they fit first gens?

guess its better I should go ask this in second gen forum :p

I don't want to have to "rig" or glue something on there, I want a snap in replacement for it

EDIT: here is that post in 2nd gen forum: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...id-spray-pattern-do-you-have.html#post9532169

maybe between here and there someone will have the perfect solution

well maybe I'll try it myself... gotta buy some OEM parts when I get back from DC next week... might check to see how different and expensive the parts are...

besides, I want to hook up something for spraying off my headlights so I'll just move the others there...

    I THINK I FOUND IT!

ok, nothing has been tested yet but my moms 2003 camry LE has the fan spray nozzles on it and while I cant swear they are a direct snap it fit (her hood insulation is in the way so I cant pop them out easily and I cant risk breaking them just to see) but they look and feel identical shape snap to the ones on my 99 tacoma so I think that would be the ones to buy or get.

    ebay has one here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Windshield-Washer-Nozzle-Fit-Toyota-Corolla-Echo-MR2-Tacoma-Celica-Camry/191418764707?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27538%26meid%3D3f51692df51e4989a5968c0e3037c11a%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D11353%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D111501396859&rt=nc

A high lip bug shield will diffuse the two barrel nozzles,,splatters it all over when your at certain speeds. Makes a Typhoon on the hood.

    I have one,,gathering dust in the rafters,,lol.

    anything to report yet?

ok, upon further review it looks like these "may" not work on our trucks because the 90 goes forward instead of to the side and "could" be a clearance issue getting the nipple and hose to fit inside there where the hood brace encloses it.

for this reason im thinking something like this would be a better replacement and whats needed for our trucks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281242036327?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

unless im mistaken "most" of these washer nozzles are using a standard set of 2 or 3 pattern shapes with some having a thick snap opening gap style for double wall hoods and some are thin gapped flush like style such as with our trucks so if you find the right pattern and snap thickness gap, the car manufacturer brand shouldn't matter.

im scared to waste $ to buy them and find out they don't work but if any of you don't mind taking the gamble for the rest of us, it would be of great help to many and I would say thank you thank you thank you.

Don't buy the crud from Autozone... I just wasted $10 and they lasted two days and the spray pattern was pretty awful. I am going to see if I can find some OEM that will fit.

    that's good to know, thanks

if your looking OEM I heard there is a 3 jet version, I think from rav4 you might want to look for.

in my short search I found the biggest hurdle is the hose bib direction needs to be straight down or to the side. many go straight forward which as I mentioned above could be and I think is going to be a clearance issue with them.

also I find on my 99 I have NO adjustment to these at all, the needle will bend but the direction never changes at all in up or down direction or even side to side, its like its fixed in one spot only. I don't know if that's because the older ones are not designed to move or if its just stuck from never being moved in 15 years but weather I go spray or jet I need to get ones that can be adjusted because mine cant.
