Resale value says it all. A fully loaded 2004 Tacoma where I live in SoCal is going for around 16k or even more. I don't know of many automakers able to keep a design for almost 10 yrs and still be very profitable.

Imagine Ford or GMC still selling a 2004 like model these days! Lol

I agree with you. Just thought I would post that quote since we were talking about a MT article anyway.

Really? If that's all you have to add to the discussion then move on.

They may have chose the new design Colorado. But, I didn't.

The Motor Trend article actually did the Tacoma justice. Even though they lauded the Colorado for it's features/performance/looks; we have to realize that GM had their target vehicle running the streets (and trails) for nearly ten years, LOL!

The Toyota's strong points are durability and reliability, and how can anyone judge a vehicle on just "initial" performance runs when the former require years of road miles.

The best news is that Toyota now has a target for themselves!

Let's see this same comparison when (if) the Colly can get 10 successful years under its belt! :)

Truck of the year. Keep spending 35k on a 10year old truck.

Still would choose the Tacoma, I don't mind the looks of the Chevy but after having multiple GM vehicles then getting the Yota Taco I will stick with the Yota. The frontier no thanks terrible design IMO.
