New Audio System

Hey all,

so the Tacoma stock system in my 2014 dcsb Off road was atrocious, I upgraded to the following:

Rockford 600x5channel amp $260 connected by a 4gauge amp kit $30
2 MTX 6x9 speakers 100watts $50
2 kicker 5 1/4 speakers 50watts $40

10" Rockford shallow box sub $100

spliced the speaker outputs from the stock head unit into the high level inputs on the Rockford amp and there is no distortion or problems, didn't have to get a line output converter. sub not installed yet but will report when I do. otherwise the sound is sooooo much louder and clearer. not a bad total at around $500 out the door

 

I don' get it. You are running tweeters off the amp only? What are you door speakers being ran off of?

 

i am running the 2 front door, 2 read door, and sub off of the amp. the "high level inputs" is the signal coming from the head unit. the tweeters, I believe, are already spliced into the front door speakers.

 

Could you put up some pics when its all done.
