    Greetings everyone.

My good buddy Joe just decided to turn his 06 Tacoma SR5 (double cab, long bed, no mods other than a stainless catback from Dynamax) into a solid deep woods camping, hunting and fishing expedition rig. I'm a Ford Explorer owner (plenty of room from everyone, right?) and I've learned a ton over the past three years from the Serious Explorations forum as I built mine out. This looks like just the same kind of place.

I'll be working with Joe (who's a bit computer-phobic, hence me being here and not him) to beef things up for long-range reliability, get a little lift for trail clearance and some modest tires, add some armor and self-recovery capability, and make it a good trail home away from home. I know he's got a fantastic foundation in this Taco, so I'm looking forward to making the most of what I can learn from the folks who done it all before.

Thanks in advance for all the help.
