Are there any Polyglots on TW? Maybe a stretch.

    Is anyone here multilingual?

I'm not necessarily referring to native speaking bilingual people, but people who have learned multiple languages for whatever reason, hobby, business or otherwise.

I am getting into this for the first time as an interest, but in the past have learned several languages to a small degree for work. Namely Pashto and other regional languages in the Marine Corps. I don't remember much Farsi or Japanese, but I do still remember a lot of Pashto and know a decent amount of (and am currently working on expanding my) Spanish. I have also studied Greek for two years and Hebrew for one. My newest goal is to learn ASL, or sign language. Long term goals are there for others but I'm focusing on no more than two at a time.

Does anyone else on here learn more languages than their native tongue as a means to an end, a hobby, for business or some other reason? For me it is more to be able to communicate with people and travel than about actually having a love for languages, but I do have a friend who is just a nerd about grammar and languages for the sake of liking words in general. ha

This is probably a stretch, but I wonder if anyone else here is a Polyglot?
