    Hi everyone,

I've been lurking around this site for about year and now I finally decided to join since I'm looking to purchase a truck soon :D. My first toyota(my first auto too) was an 88 pickup, drove an 85 celica convertible for a bit too. This will be my first new purchase. Looking forward to the day it arrives but I still need to finalize some things and make an order with a dealership. I've been in contact with a few dealerships already and it looks like it will take 6-8 weeks for it to arrive once the order has been placed. I was hoping for a xmas gift to myself but it looks like it will be about a month late lol.

I decided on DCLB 4x4 TRD in magnetic gray. I would probably get spruce mica but it's not offered anymore :(. I plan on doing mods but not for a few years..maybe 4 plus years at least...so that's why I decided on the TRD package. It's a decent off-road package...yea? Does anyone suggest otherwise? I have some other projects/priorities that will be sucking my money until then lol.

    Thanks guys!

The TRD "off road" is great package and I'm very happy with mine.

Welcome to TW. Assuming you're talking about TRD Sport, right? TRD Off Road not available with DCLB.

    Correct that's the package name.

I'm thinking of getting the four season mat package which includes: All Weather Floor Mats, Carpet Floor Mats, cargo mat.

I'm not sure what the cargo mat is...maybe it was a typo and should be "net"?

The most important thing is the floor mats. I did some research and found there is the weathertech floor liner which looks to be more protective and robust.http://www.weathertech.com/toyota/2014/tacoma/floorliner-digitalfit/bodystyle/double-cab/floor-retention-device-type/driver-and-passenger-side-twiststyle-floor-posts/

Which do you think is a better buy? The toyota floor mats or the aftermarket weathertech floor liner?

I have the Toyota floor mats and they are barely adequate, I think the WeatherTechs look like they would do a better job of containing snow and salty slush when it melts. But that might not be a problem for you. The cargo mat lays in the bed of the truck. It would provide a less slippery surface for cargo. Not sue what the OEM mat looks like but here again the WeatherTechs have an edge that goes a ways up the side of the box similar to the edge on the DigiFit floor mats. If it were my money I'd give a very close look at the WeatherTechs. Since '07 my carpeted floor mats have been taking up space in a box waiting for the day BluTaco goes bye bye when they will once again be united with the truck.

I personally wouldn't be happy with the 4 cyl. I am very happy with the performance of the 6 and auto, it's adequate for my uses which include a 4,000 pound Travel trailer being pulled from Iowa to Texas with a 300# bike in the bed.

I got my WeatherTechs 2 weeks ago, and i gotta say they are an absolute perfect fit. I looked at a few other brands but these seemed the best quality, and after talking with Chas, it was $ well spent. The quality of these mats is very strong and i expect them to last for years and years of off road fun.
