you know how some cars/trucks have lights on each corner in the front that come on when turn on the turn signals? they light up the area on the side of the vehicle that you about to turn.

i always liked that, now that i have the newer front bumper with the pieces that you can unsnap on the sides i was thinking about putting maybe an LED light are something in each of them. but having a hard time coming up with a design that looks clean and that would look like they are supposed to be there.

anyone see anything like that done?

I personally haven't seen a tacoma with them but you could do button LEDs like this-

and wire thru a relay of some sort to provide power and cut off when the signal stops.

I am interested in the same sort of application.

The tech section on the site says they are 17 to 18 lumens for the larger ones. Anyone know if that is enough to light the turns?

Definitely not. You'd want at least a few hundred lumens.

Some of the Cheaper Patio/walkway lights are around 2 or 3 lumens and pretty weak. However the better ones look to be pushing around 10 lumens and seem to give off a fairly good light. You don't need headlights on the side - just enough to see. I suggest you buy and try a 9 or 10 Lumen patio light and put it next to the car corner at night (after you charge it a day.) and see what it looks likes. You "could" return the light if you are not satisfied
